Dear Parents,
Welcome to 3rd grade at Mrs. Mac’s Shining Stars! Even though many of you have seen me around the school, we may not have been properly introduced. My name is Jennifer Stoops, and I am excited to be your child’s teacher this year! I graduated from Texas State University in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science with a major in Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education. I have worked at “Shining Stars” for the past 9 years. This past year I was Miss Barnett’s co-kindergarten teacher where I was able to observe, experience, and implement the teaching process.
This year I am blessed to have a wonderful co teacher, Mrs. Hollee Braun, I will be your child’s homeroom teacher, as well as Writing, Language Arts, Reading and Social Studies. Mrs. Braun will be your child’s Math and Science teacher.
I realize that teaching your child is a privilege as well as a tremendous responsibility. I will do my best to ensure that each student has a motivating and fulfilling learning experience in the classroom. I will need your help from time to time and ask that you please help encourage your child to complete their daily assignments on time and to study for quizzes and tests when necessary. I know that with your help we are going to have a phenomenal school year!
